Packaging

The packaging of this lipstick is pretty basic. It’s a black tube with a golden ring at the center. ‘Revlon’ is printed on this golden ring. Its top is transparent, and you can see the color of the shade through the top. The shade name and its finish are mentioned on the bottom of the lipstick. Although it does not look extraordinary, it does feel high-quality. It doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap to hold. Its bullet does not disappoint either. It helps you achieve a flawless, precise finish.

Review

I hadn’t tried any Revlon lipsticks in the past, so I was looking forward to trying its Super Lustrous range. Also, it’s so popular and talked-about and I wanted to find out if there’s actually anything noteworthy about these lipsticks. I picked up two shades – ‘Black Berry’ and ‘Get Noticed’. Want to know whether these are worth the hype? Here’s my experience.

Texture And Fragrance

First things first, I’m going to tell you that the texture of this lipstick hasn’t let me down. It has a rich, moisturizing texture and is very comfortable to wear.

Since this range has four finishes, here’s how each one feels.

Creme

The creme finish lipsticks are nice and creamy. Its formula is thick, smooth, and super pigmented. These make the lips look soft and plump.

Matte

This finish feels like a creamy matte, and it does not dry out your lips like most mattes tend to.

Pearl

These have a creamy texture with an added sheen to it. If you want to rock the 2000s celeb look, this lipstick will do the trick.

Sheer

This has a texture which is very similar to that of a tinted lip balm. It won’t flake or settle into fine lines and will give your lips a healthy shine.

Its fragrance is very mild, and it fades in some time of application. So if you are sensitive to smells, this lipstick makes for an ideal choice.

Pigmentation And Efficacy

Coming to the pigmentation, all the finishes from this range are incredibly pigmented. Some shades leave you with an opaque finish with just one swipe while others need a minimum of two swipes. These are very easy to use and feel very comfortable on the lips. Even if you have dry lips, these lipsticks do a good job of moisturizing your lips and leaving them feeling hydrated. I also enjoyed its lightweight formula – especially the ones with matte finish are so delightful to wear.

Staying Power

The staying power is quite decent, and it will stay on for a good five hours without a heavy meal, after which you will need to touch it up. However, touch-ups are easy and hassle-free.

How To Use This Product

1. Ensure your lips are smooth and moisturized before you go in with any lip product.
