A Simple 30-Minute Massage To Remove Cellulite And Get A Fit Body
Let’s be honest. No matter what our weight maybe, we have all, at some point, obsessed over cellulite and wondered if it looks ugly when we are in our shorts or miniskirts or swimsuits. Before we say anything else on this matter, we just want you all to know that cellulite is a very common problem, and everyone – yes, you read that right – everyone has it. Even supermodels and superstars who seem to be flawless in all ways. It’s just that unlike us everyday people, they have Photoshop and airbrushing by their side, which helps them look flawless (the keyword being ‘look’). They just look flawless. It doesn’t necessarily mean they are!
However, if it still bothers you and you want to get rid of it, the best way to do it is to use natural and organic ways rather than going for something chemical or opting to go under the knife because, really, it just isn’t worth it.
So, how do you do it naturally? Well, read on!
For an all-natural and painless way to get rid of cellulite, you’ll need the following things: A brush, body scrub, oil (you can choose olive or coconut as these are really good for the skin. Even vitamin E oil is not a bad idea), and a silicone cup.
Yes, we know that this list sounds like the most random things on planet earth just thrown together, but bear with us. It truly is amazing how these seemingly unrelated things can actually get together to help you obtain flawless skin to your liking.
You can actually use these things in different combinations to self-treat your cellulite. Here’s the first way of doing it!
1. Using A Scrub And Silicone Cup
First off, apply the scrub on your legs – starting from ankles first, in circular movements. The grainier the scrub, with bigger granules, the better. After applying the scrub, use your fingers to knead the problem areas, almost like you were pinching yourself. But make sure you don’t do it too hard because you might bruise yourself, and bruises are just as ugly as cellulite. Perhaps even worse, since it might lead to uncomfortable questions, if you know what we mean!
Continue the kneading for about 10 minutes on the problem areas. Once you are done with this, wash off the scrub and apply oil once again. After this is done, use the silicone cup to massage the problem areas, again in circular movements. Make sure you do not apply too much pressure as this too may leave bruises, which you don’t really want in case you are planning to wear that lovely mini dress that you picked up in the last season’s sale.
However, you have to be patient as this will take some time to show results. It could take anything from a month to a couple of months, or even more, depending on how frequently you do it. The recommended frequency is thrice a week, with each session lasting at least 10 minutes, for best and quick results.
2. Using A Brush And Oil
This is less tedious to do than the previous method and is therefore also referred to as the ‘express massage.’ However, there is no proof that it is less or more effective than the previous method. All you have to do is use a brush (make sure it has natural bristles and not plastic ones), and brush the problem areas. Again, use circular movements and brush from your ankle upwards. Make sure that you’re not just brushing for the fun of it, but are brushing like you mean it. This is why we recommend the use of brushes with natural bristles as opposed to plastic ones. This will make sure that there are no injuries to your skin.
Once you are done with this, apply oil (either coconut oil or olive oil) to your skin, again in circular movements. This helps in making sure that your skin absorbs the oil thoroughly. After the oil has been applied, like in the other method, knead your skin with your fingers, almost like you are pinching it. Make sure you exercise caution and don’t overdo the kneading bit, just so you can avoid embarrassing bruises on your skin, which are also quite painful, by the way!
Do this for 10 minutes three times a week, just like the previous method, and you should see results soon. We recommend that you do the second routine just before a bath so as to avoid making your clothes sticky with oil.
While we do recommend these steps to help relieve your body of cellulite, we also want to bring to your attention the fact that unless this is clubbed with healthy life choices, there is no point in doing these home treatments, especially when it comes to your skin.
What do you think? Will you try this at home? Or are you okay with what your skin looks like and don’t give a dime about cellulite? Let us know in the comments!
